Terms & Conditions

About our Camp

Enrolment, Fees and Attendance

Acceptance of Terms:

These Terms and Conditions apply to all students enrolled in Real World Academy programmes. Payment of the module fee, or attendance by the student at any session, constitutes acceptance of these terms by the parent/guardian. The current version of these terms is published at https://therealworldacademy.com and may be updated from time to time; the version in effect at the date of enrolment applies to that programme.

Payment Policy:

Full payment must be received before the start of the programme to secure a spot in the class.

Refund & Credit Policy:

Due to limited class spaces, refunds or credits are not permitted once a spot has been confirmed.

Missed Classes:

Classes missed due to student absence cannot be carried over to the next module.

Attendance & Fees:

The module fee applies in full regardless of attendance. Individual adjustments to class days within the module are not permitted.

Class Cancellations:

In the event of a class cancellation due to Real World Academy, the venue, or instructor absence, a make-up session will be scheduled and communicated in advance.

Multiple Bookings:

Multiple transactions may result in multiple bookings appearing on the cardholder's monthly statement.

AI Tools Used in the Programme

AI Tools and Age Suitability:

The programme teaches and uses a range of AI tools and platforms. For the most part these tools are selected to be age appropriate. However, some tools carry publisher age ratings, terms of use, or recommended minimum ages above the age of the student, and certain tools are made available to students only because they form part of the instructor-led curriculum or are required to deliver the final project. By enrolling their child in the programme, parents/guardians consent to their child using all tools taught and used during the programme, including such tools, and confirm that they have satisfied themselves that this is appropriate for their child.

Supervision and Acceptable Use:

All AI tools are introduced and used under instructor supervision and within the scope of the programme. Where a tool requires an account, it will be set up and operated in accordance with the provider's terms, and students are expected to use these tools only for programme activities. Real World Academy does not monitor or control the use of any AI tool by a student outside class time.

Subscriptions to AI Tools:

Certain AI tools used in the programme may require a paid subscription or paid credits. Unless expressly stated otherwise, the cost of such subscriptions is not included in the module fee. Real World Academy will inform parents/guardians in advance of any subscription that is required, so that they have sufficient time to subscribe. Subscriptions are purchased by the parent/guardian directly from the relevant provider, and Real World Academy is not responsible for provider pricing, billing, renewals, or cancellation.

AI-Generated Output:

AI tools can produce output that is inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. Work produced by students using these tools is intended for learning purposes. Real World Academy makes no representation as to the accuracy or suitability of any AI-generated output and is not responsible for the content generated by third-party AI tools.

Student Data and AI Platforms:

Where the use of a tool requires an account or the submission of content to a third-party platform, students are instructed not to share personal or sensitive information. Real World Academy is not responsible for the data practices of third-party AI providers, and parents/guardians are encouraged to review the relevant provider's terms and privacy policy.

Third-Party Applications

To enhance the learning experience, coaches may use third-party platforms such as YouTube, Google, AI tools and platforms and other educational applications.

Users acknowledge and agree that Real World Academy is not responsible for third-party content, policies, availability, or changes, including the withdrawal or modification of any tool by its provider. Where a tool becomes unavailable, Real World Academy may substitute a comparable alternative.
